My name is Wendy Lee, and I've been folding origami since I was a little girl. I used to make boxes and gifts out of paper, but the paper would get crumpled, and the item would have to be thrown away. A few years ago I found a website with a tutorial on how to starch fabrics to use with origami, and I've been making fabric origami creations ever since. I started making the origami flower balls. or kusudama, as Christmas ornaments. From there, I branched out into boxes, baby booties, cranes, and stars.
I've taught origami classes at JoAnn Etc. in Torrance, CA and have given origami demonstrations at various venues.
